Changing the Default Paper Sizes in Printer Drivers

To print in portra it orientation, first change to landscape mode. Click on the Move button, and then move your mouse cursor into the top right corner of this screen. A preview pane will appear, together with the name Landscape in portrait style. Select it, and click on the Yes option to move. When you’re finished, your record will be printed in portrait orientation.

To print in portrait mode, download and install Microsoft’s print driver program. The print driver is available from Microsoft’s web site. Click Print Driver, pick your personal computer from the operating system list, and click on Get Print Drivers.

From the print driver window, under Options, click Printer Settings. On the General tab, below Personalize, click Custom Paper Sizes. From the Custom Paper Sizes dialog box, then choose the desired number of columns and rows, and click on OK. Then, under the section marked drivers, click on the Browse button. There are two options in the print drivers directory: Microsoft and Personal.

For printing in portrait mode, use the Microsoft device. To connect a printer to your computer, use the corresponding driver on your PC. For printers that don’t require installation and that come with Windows, start the driver program and follow the onscreen instructions. From the print preview pane, double-click the custom paper size. A new window will open, and you can alter the custom dimensions within this window. The default custom sizes are often fine, so you don’t need to alter them unless you are going to publish in a format that’s different than the one that the printer supplies. To alter the display of custom paper sizes, use the Properties main menu.

From the printer properties windowunder General, click the custom paper sizes, then click the option of Use driver default option. Use the right or left arrows to look at the different display styles out there. Now, in the driver search box, enter the appropriate keyword phrases. You will notice a list of those drivers that have matching names with the names you’ve entered. In case you have more than 1 driver, select each of the drivers at the Driver Lookup box. After that, click the Install driver button.

Should you need to substitute a particular driver, then use the right or left arrows and click the option of Driver Replacement. Follow the directions, and you will be provided a listing of the apparatus which may be replaced. Choose the device you need to install and click it. When prompted, fill in the information about the driver and click on okay. You’ll be prompted again, click okay.
